Our association believes it is important that everyone with questions, doubts, comments, or complaints can talk to someone about them. For that reason, we have appointed two confidential contact persons. They are available to anyone at the association who wants to share something related to inappropriate behavior. This includes, for example, bullying, discrimination, (sexual) harassment, threats, and violence.
You may personally experience unwanted behavior, but you may also witness it happening to someone else. In that case as well—for example, as a coach, supervisor, volunteer, athlete, or parent—we ask you to contact our confidential contact person. In cases of suspected sexual harassment, coaches, trainers, and supervisors are even required to report this to the board.
The confidential contact person will handle your concerns with care. They will:
- Listen with care and attention;
- Discuss the next steps with you to help you.
What you share with the confidential contact person is confidential. However, there may be situations where they must deviate from this:
- In case there is a severe, direct risk to yourself or someone else. In such cases, the confidential contact person must inform the board;
- Like every other resident of the Netherlands, the confidential contact person is required to report serious crimes to the police.
